Nighttime Stroll|Open
Moonlight streamed in from several windows, dimly lighting the deserted hallway. Caden walked softly across the stone floor, holding his wand down by his side. He listened for anything that may sound like approaching footsteps; he had yet to be caught by a Professor or Filch this year, which was a first.
He walked for a few moments before seeing the entrance leading to the stairs, he stepped onto the fifth floor landing and climbed the stairs to the sixth, he entered another deserted hallway “Lumos,” he muttered.
His wand began to glow white, casting light on the floor before him. He wandered for a few minutes, not paying much attention which direction he went.
Well. Hi.
behindthegirlwiththebushyhair:
Pretty well average, yourself?

I’m alright, I could be better. I have detention with Snape, I seem to keep running into him when he’s in a foul mood.
Well. Hi.
behindthegirlwiththebushyhair:
It’s nice to meet you too.

So, how are you today?
Well. Hi.
behindthegirlwiththebushyhair:
Granger, I mean, Hermione.

Well, Hermione Granger it’s nice to meet you

The classroom door swung shut as Caden, the last student to leave, stepped into the hall. History of Magic was as boring as ever, he usually taking to staring at the wall or catching up on his sleep. That day’s lesson had been about conflicts between wizards in the past. Caden hadn’t paid much attention, though this time he had managed to write a few notes before growing bored and falling asleep, a friend waking him when the class had ended. History of Magic was, thankfully, his last class for the day and he had the rest of the day to do as he wished.
Caden walked down the hall, not paying much attention to where he was going, walking into another a student “Sorry,” he said to the girl.
Isabel didn’t like the eerie, silence of the halls as everyone was probably relaxing in their common rooms right now. She was pretty much alone except for the few first years who just screamed trouble as the skidded along. Classes were over with for her and had it not been for the troublesome Potions essay she’d been stuck with, she could’ve been relaxing with the rest of the Ravenclaws. Not a pretty picture, but a few of them weren’t too bad. Isabel studied the paper in front of her, headed straight for the Astronomy Tower for peace and quiet.
“OOPF!” Isabel gasped as she bumped into something hard. Not someone, something, she realized as she looked up from her place on the floor. Isabel thought for a fleeting moment she knew who he was from somewhere, then shook her head. “It’s nothing, I wasn’t watching where I was going, anyway.” She blew her bangs from her face and grabbed her homework before getting up.
Caden stumbled back a step and found the girl he had walked into on the floor; he felt slightly guilty, seeing that he knocked her to the floor. He began to bend down to help her up but she was already on her feet “I’m sorry,” he apologized again. “Are you alright?”
He needed to pay attention more, she wasn‘t the first person he walked into this week. Unfortunately, this person had been Professor Snape, losing him five house points for not paying attention to where he was walking. Though it could have been worse and he could have ended up detention, for Snape seemed to be in a fouler mood than usually. And seemed to be handing out detentions a lot that day though to many who seemed not to deserve it, while those of his own house went unpunished for things they clearly needed to reprimand for. Which wasn’t much of a shock, Snape was the only head of the house that seemed to let his own house get away with things that would get the rest of them weeks worth of detentions.

Caden made sure his mask was firmly in place before ascending the stairs into the entrance hall, students of all houses were filling the entrance hall, some with dates others with friends or going solo as he was. He entered the great hall; the long tables had been removed, replaced with round tables. He stepped forward, unsure what exactly to do. Then deciding a moment later to sit at a nearby table.
Isabel said she wasn’t going to come. And here she was, dressed in a dress just like she’d promised Abby, and wearing a mash that didn’t ridiculously stand out so much, just a simply black one. She felt more like the character from the Muggle movies. Batman, was it? She sighed, mentally kicking herself for straying from the warmth and protection of the Ravenclaw common room, her dorm, in search of a little fun to be had. Relieved, at least, to see there weren’t many people here with dates either, she relaxed her tense shoulders, loosened up a bit and watched as a boy approached her table, sat down, and smiled warmly, hesitantly. “Hi?” Isabel asked uncertainly, wondering if he’d just wanted to sit down. Maybe he was tired from dancing with his girlfriend all night. Maybe he didn’t even want to engage in conversation.
Caden found most of the tables were full; he wandered for a moment before finding a table with an available chair. It was empty mostly except for one girl who seemed to be alone, he pulled out a chair and sat down, the girl greeted him and he turned to face her “Uh, hi.” he replied. “I’m Caden.”
